Brianna: Avocado. I love them because they are so amazing in so many different ways, and you can't go wrong with their health facts.
CS: What's your favourite vacation spot? Why?
B: Texada Island, BC. My mother-in-law lives there, and it's so incredibly peaceful.
CS: Tell us a bit about yourself and your family
B: I am originally from Ontario, and moved to Calgary, AB in 2011. I met my husband out here, and now we have an amazing little dude and 2 fantastic dogs. I started Beebees Room in April 2018, and really dove right in. I love it!
CS: Describe your creative style
B: I like to follow fashion trends but also keep my products original and unique.
CS: How did you get into crafting?
B: I have always had a creative side to me. Runs in the family. I ordered a silicone clip from another Mom Maker and I knew right away that I wanted to do this. I started researching, then made my first order of supplies.
CS: What was the first thing you ever made?
B: For my business? A silicone pacifier clip. Which I later took apart because it was not the prettiest. Haha
CS: What project/product are you most proud of?
B: The handheld teether I made for my son. And my Empire Collection. It's one of my first original designs and they are now my best sellers.
CS: What does your current work space look like?
B: Consists of a computer, a desk, a dresser with beads in drawers and on top in drawers. This is in my home.
CS: What does your dream work space look like?
B: Larger space with white walls, green plants, large windows, an L shaped large desk in the corner, wall racks with pegs, more drawers for beads/supplies.
CS: How do you balance work and home life?
B: I make sure that when I'm spending time with my son and husband, I'm present. Everything is about them. Once my son goes to bed, that's really when I take the opportunity to work.
CS: Where do you see your business going in the next five years?
B: I would like to see it advance to more wholesalers. All while keeping individual orders open and available. I love making unique pieces.
CS: What advice would you give to someone looking to start their own small business?
B: Push through all of the negative and the noise. Keep your head up. Be original.
CS: What do you love most about Chomp?
B: All posts and the website are fun and I love the selection of teethers.
CS: What would you like to see Chomp carry in the future?
B: Woven cord for necklaces.
